Bobby Sager is an extremely successful entrepreneur who 7 years ago decided to redirect his skills and street smarts into making a difference in the areas of conflict and poverty. Bobby’s approach is very hands-on; always looking for a very high return on his charitable investment of both time and money: An entrepreneur’s demanding, accountable and innovative approach to high yield charity. In 2000, Mr. Sager founded the Sager Family Traveling Foundation. Through the Foundation, Bobby, along with his family, live in villages and cities around the Third World using hands-on perspective and eyeball to eyeball connection to conceive, develop and operate economic opportunity, training and leadership programs in countries including Rwanda, Afghanistan, Nepal, India, Pakistan, and Palestine. Programs include Teacher Training, Leadership Training, Micro Enterprise, and Peace and Reconciliation Efforts. The Foundation’s central theme is to convene leaders of one kind or another to help make them better leaders. Leaders include Rwandan and Palestinian businesswomen, Afghan women doctors, Pakistani teachers and groups that range from international entrepreneurs on different sides of conflicts to community activists that operate “under the radar screen” neighborhood programs. Finding ways to impact people who can impact a real lot of other people includes teaching Western science to the next generation of leadership among the Tibetan monks and helping to build a network of YPO/WPOers to leverage their personal impact on the world. Bobby is a Founding Chairman of the YPO Peace Action Network and the WPO Presidents Action Network: Networks that draw from 20,000 CEO’s worldwide, deploying their entrepreneurial skills and rolodexes to actively address some of the world’s most pressing social and political issues.
